About the Kid Astronaut Experience

Our team at Nova is offering children ages 11-17 the opportunity of a lifetime to train and prepare as if they were astronauts going on a mission. The participants will first learn at our training facilities for 2 to 3 hours being taught how to control the rocket functions. Then they will move on to the actual simulation of a rocket leaving the atmosphere, getting the feeling of high thrust power and no gravity floating as done through an indoor skydiving machine. From there, they can have the opportunity to hang out and solve challenges in “space” for a period of time.

Our program gives young kids and teens the chance to experience and explore space and zero-gravity environments, a dream of many children around the world. Also included in the package is a 1-2 hour class taught by past and current astronauts that work at Nova. These classes teach kids about real space experiences in the past, whether through Nova or simply famous space trips. The participants will get an opportunity to hear about past voyages the astronauts have done and even have the to ask any questions of their own.
